Dear Spark Tribe Families,
This week was filled with creativity, exploration, and thoughtful discussions as the learners delved into exciting activities and challenges.
For Art Monday, the learners began with an inspiring launch on where the learners explored the world of architectural design by designing their dream playgrounds. With simple materials, they considered how creativity and function come together to shape spaces that bring joy and imagination to life.
For Two Star and Wish Tuesday, the learners played an exciting game of Marco Polo, whoever got tagged by the person who yelled “Marco!” receives kind words and growth mindset praise! With a burst of color and storytelling, the learners created unique holiday-themed rock paintings for their Art Projects. Using acrylic paint, each one created a rock painting and crafted a short tale to accompany it. They also invented titles for their stories, blending art and narrative in a delightful way.
For Wondrous Wednesday, Sparks Tribe had a launch about the world ants! They explored the themes of ant colonies, including teamwork and seeing the world from a different perspective. Midweek, the focus shifted to completing the hero’s journey boards. The learners added finishing touches, reflecting on their progress and the story their boards told. These projects have been a wonderful way to highlight the creative process and celebrate their ideas.
On Thoughtful Thursday, the learners had a special launch exploring mindfulness during difficult times. The tribe was given a dilemma that relates to the real world, and with engaging discussions, they shared ways to listen, communicate, and find positive solutions in challenging moments. To finish the day, the learners practiced for their Talent Show
Friday ended the week with a House Cup celebration of an earned reward of watching a movie together, fostering fellowship and school spirit. The day was filled with laughter, cheers, and joy as the tribe wrapped up the week on a high note.
