Dear Spark Tribe Families,
What a vibrant and imaginative week we’ve just wrapped up in our third week of Session 2!
Art Monday set the stage with creativity as the Sparks made their very own flip books, weaving together stories and bringing their ideas to life one frame at a time. The energy carried into the afternoon during Writer’s Workshop, where each member dove into making unique, eye-catching booklets that reflected their individual styles.
Two Stars Tuesday was full of warmth and camaraderie. Sparks played an animated game of hot potato, but with a twist: when the music stopped, kind words and growth mindset praises were shared, spreading smiles and uplifting spirits all around. The afternoon brought out the inner architects as they shaped paper sculptures, building creations limited only by their imaginations.
Wondrous Wednesday took an auditory turn with an exploration of sound. Sparks engaged in a deep and thought-provoking discussion about what life might be like in complete silence. Imaginations ran wild as they considered the impact of sound—or its absence—on their world.
Thoughtful Thursday was a day of reflection and meaningful dialogue. Sparks watched a short video on the fascinating science behind rainbows. Inspired, they shared personal reflections on their “sunny days” (good days) and “rainy days” (challenging days), and spoke about the rainbows—the surprising joys and lessons—that have emerged from those moments. The afternoon buzzed with excitement as everyone practiced their acts for the upcoming talent show, preparing to showcase their skills and passions.
The week concluded with a thrilling day at Alpine, where Sparks played a lively game with their house groups, strengthening bonds and enjoying friendly competition.
This is a reminder about our field trip to High Exposure, scheduled for December 3rd.
