Hello Sparks Tribe Families,
We’ve wrapped up the final week of Session One, and what an exciting time it’s been!
The week kicked off with a truly inspiring Muscle Monday, where we learned about Stephen Wiltshire, an incredible autistic savant known for drawing entire cityscapes from memory. After watching a video about him, the Sparks took on a challenge—recreating the New York City skyline! They had just three minutes to observe the picture, and then had to finish their drawings from memory, letting their imaginations guide them for the last seven minutes.
Team-Building Tuesday was a high-energy experience. Divided into two teams, the Sparks were tasked with building the tallest cup tower they could in just two minutes using 36 cups. The room was filled with excitement and collaboration as everyone worked together to reach new heights—literally and figuratively.
All About Me Wednesday brought out entrepreneurial dreams! After watching a short clip from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, the Sparks brainstormed and shared ideas for their own dream businesses. The ideas were imaginative and unique.
On Thoughtful Thursday, the theme was “anything is possible.” We discussed what the world would look like if we could make our wildest dreams come true, and it was inspiring to hear all the creative and thoughtful possibilities that came to life during this discussion.
Finally, on Read Aloud Friday, we delved into The Chestnut Challenge by Tracey Hecht. This story opened up a meaningful conversation about fairness and how to handle situations where cheating happens during games.
