Greetings, Sparks’ Families!
We hope this newsletter finds you well!
Monday: Show and Tell Spirit
On Monday, our Sparks tribe came together to discuss how we want to host our Show and Tell sessions. It was an opportunity for Sparks to share their thoughts and ideas on what makes a great show and tell. Together, we decided what items are acceptable to bring and, most importantly, how to share our unique stories with the tribe.
Tuesday: A Trip to Ghana
Our global adventure continued on Tuesday when we took a virtual trip to the beautiful country of Ghana. We explored the vibrant culture and had a chance to see how Ghanaian street food is prepped and cooked. It was an experience that left us craving more knowledge about this fascinating part of the world.
Wednesday: Would You Rather
Wednesday brought us a fun and thought-provoking challenge as we played "Would You Rather" for launch. Sparks had to make choices and then explain why they made those decisions. It was a great exercise in critical thinking and persuasive communication as Sparks tried to convince their fellow learners why their choices were the best.
Thursday: Reinforcing Studio Rules
On Thursday, we revisited our Studio Rules, and together we made some new agreements. These agreements will help us hold each other accountable in difficult situations, ensuring that our learning environment remains a safe and welcoming space for all. It was a day of reflection and growth for our tribe.
Friday: Adventure at Alpine State Park
To cap off an exciting week, we enjoyed a fantastic Friday at Alpine State Park with our Discovery friends. Nature provided the backdrop for a day filled with exploration, learning, and fun. It was the perfect way to wrap up our first full week back at school.
We can't wait to see what the next week has in store for us. Stay curious, stay excited, and have a fantastic weekend!
