The end of the year is just around the corner, and the Falcons are working hard to complete all their SMART goals for this year.
For Genre, the learners critiqued each other and revised their white papers. Their first feedback focused on Idea Development, and the second on structure and style. On Friday, all the Falcons who completed their genre shared their speeches in front of the Discovery learners, practicing standing public speaking and courage.
For Quest, Arete’a and Aya led their fashion and history quest, where the Falcons explored an era in time and how fashion was connected to the historical events that happened during this era. Mia and Ava led their photography quest in the second half of the week, and the learners created portfolios of pictures they took with their phones around specific themes.
In civ, the Falcons explored the concept of social justice and the Tiananmen Square protest. One of the questions debated was: “Imagine you opened a bakery, and your business partner wants to raise prices because demand exceeds supply. You know that some of your loyal customers cannot afford to buy cookies at the new prices. Is she selfish or justified? Why?
That's all for this week; thank you so much for reading. We look forward to seeing all of you at the end-of-the-year graduation ceremony next week!
