Journey: Session 4, Week 1

It is the 4th session of the year! Medicine, apprenticeships, and field trips await!

The Falcons have had four new experiences to celebrate four sessions of the year:

#1 - Starting a new journey through Medical Biology: The fourth quest of the year, as said above, is Medical Biology. The learners are learning all about diseases, cures, diagnosing, and more. This week, they researched the three biggest systems of the human body: The nervous, circulatory, and respiratory systems. They took notes and reflected on the research.

#2 - Apprenticeships have begun!: This session’s genre and civ are very different from all the others we have had this year. Instead of having genre or civ every day, the learners work on their apprenticeship prep badges. If they finish the prep badge this session, they can start their apprenticeships in no time!

#3 - Running Partners? A new squad format: In this session, the learners will try something new in three years of Journey… Running partners! Instead of having squads, each learner has an assigned partner with whom they do meetings, check-ups, and approve challenges.

#4 - A very special new experience!: This week, on Thursday, Journey saw something in the schedule called “Energy Booster!” and had to wait to find out what they would do. Finally, on Thursday, they never expected what we did… Chocolate making!!! Michal brought three kinds of chocolate and toppings. Everybody then got to make their bars of chocolate using molds and freeze them. It was indeed an experience you’ll only find in Acton.

Session #4 has officially started, and we can’t wait to continue. See you next week!
