Hello Parents and Learners!
This week we did Loads of stuff! First let's start with Writers Workshop.
In Writer’s Workshop we kept recording our podcast. Some learners already finished and sent it to be in the competition. Some people logged their milestones already. Wow! Well I'm pretty sure that's it for writers Workshop now let's move on to Quest.
In Quest we kept working on our projects. Learners started to wrap up! It is very exciting because every day of Quest we get a new project This week was Bee week. We learned about how bees use a special type of dance to communicate with each other. The challenge was bee a bee! For bee a bee you had to write a script and pretend you were a bee. Then you had to write some facts about bees. Most people did it. It was interesting but now let's move on to core skills!
In core skills we didn't do much. We kept working on Our work like Lexia And khan Academy. Lots of learners were excited because they finished badges or are ready to move onto new levels of Lexia of Khan! That's pretty much all we did in Core skills so yeah now let's move on to Civ.
This week we kept learning about Ancient Egypt. This week we had to make something called a shabti doll. Shabtis are the servants of the Pharaohs that died. The Egyptans believed that the shabti did all the chores for the pharaoh's when they died. So we had to make a shabti doll. It was very fun and interesting but let's stop talking about civ and move on to art!
In art we were working on shirts for the business fair. It is coming very soon so we started working on the shirts. There will be a competition and whoever wins will have their design made into shirts for the business fair. Well I don't want to keep you reading so bye! And have a great weekend.
