Hello!
This week, we have been doing a lot. In Writer's Workshop, people are starting to receive feedback on their podcast scripts and are just starting to record their podcasts after they receive feedback. In Core Skills, people are wrapping up the session, and in Civics, we've been learning about ancient Egypt. We have also been making bracelets and other items. The exhibition hosts are already writing their exhibition script, and since it is almost the end of the session, everybody is wrapping up. Things are getting crazy.
In Entomology Quest, which most people seem to really like, if you get 50 points for your challenges you will be able to go on a field trip to Vanson Zoo in Van Saun Park and most of the people seem to be on track to go. If you complete all of the challenges then you are going to hit the Grand Slam of the quest and get put on the entomology wall of Fame and right now there are a couple of groups that look to be able to do that. There is an entomology game board. If a group earns 10 points then you get to put a bug sticker into your jar and if you earn 20 points you choose a vinyl insect sticker to keep. If you earn 50 points then you get to attend our field trip to van saun zoo and the insect presentation on Wednesday March 19th. If you get 100 points you get to choose one of the insects we raised during the entomology special in session 6. The entomology Grand Slam is completing all the challenges and to get up on the entomology wall of fame for entomology quest.
Tomorrow we will go to Alpine, and have activities, such as a long hike for people who choose, free time and lunch, a challenge for quest, a game that we all like with bandanas and then we will have pi day activities with the whole school. It should be a really fun day.
